From idea to online in 7 days: how our process works
A site goes from idea to online in 7 days, with fixed stages, fixed dates and one round of changes at each stage. This is the process, day by day.
A website does not have to take months. At Good Sites Only, a site goes from idea to online in 7 days, in a process with fixed stages and fixed dates. This lesson explains each step, day by day: what we do, what you do and what you will see. It also shows what is included, what you can add after launch and how to get the most from the week.
The process in one view
- Before day 1. You pick a design, or ask us to design yours from scratch.
- Day 1. You answer a few questions from your phone.
- Days 1 and 2. We write your texts. You read them and approve them.
- Days 3 and 4. We show you the mockup. You review it and approve it.
- Days 5 and 6. We build the site and check it.
- Day 7. Your site goes online.
At each stage, you have one round of changes. You follow every stage on your own page, where each stage has its date.

Before day 1: pick a design
Each of our designs was made for one kind of business, with its pages, its sections and its tone already thought through. You choose the one closest to your business, and we adapt it to your brand, your colors and what you sell. If none feels right, show us two or three sites you like and we design yours from scratch.
Some businesses first meet us through an independent seller who sells our sites. You can also look at the designs yourself, at any time.

Day 1: you answer a few questions
The questions are short, and almost all of them are answered with one tap, so you can do them from your phone. You can upload your logo, photos and files in any format, or point us to your current site and your social profiles, and we take it from there. At the end, you choose your plan and pay by card on a secure page.
Our plans are sized by the number of pages: Basic up to 15 pages, Pro from 15 to 30 and Large more than 30. You do not need perfect answers. If you worked through the previous lessons, you already have most of them, and the rest can be a rough first version.
From this first day, you have your own page where you can see the date of every stage.
Days 1 and 2: we write your texts
We write your texts from your answers. You do not need to write them yourself. When they are ready, you read them and approve them, and you have one round of changes.
Read the texts the way your customer would. Check the facts first: names, prices, hours, phone numbers and addresses. Then ask whether it sounds like you. If something does not, say what you would say instead. Specific notes help us more than general ones.
When you read your texts, look for these things:
- Names, prices, hours, phone numbers and addresses, which must be exact.
- Claims that you cannot back up. Remove anything that is not true.
- The tone: warm, expert or direct, the way you speak to customers.
- The next step at the end of each page. Is it clear?
- Anything missing that a customer would ask about.
Days 3 and 4: you see the mockup
A mockup is a picture of how your pages will look before the site is built. Open it on your phone and on a computer. Look at the first screen, the order of the sections, the photos and the main button. Judge the message and the structure first, and the small details second.
You have one round of changes here too. Tell us what you want to change, where it is and what you want instead. "Make the Book now button bigger and move it above the photo" is a note we can act on. "Make it pop" is not.
When you look at the mockup, check these things:
- Does the first screen say what you do, for whom and where?
- Is the main button easy to see, on a phone as well as on a computer?
- Does the order of the sections follow the questions your customers ask?
- Do the photos show your real work, your team or your place?
- Are your phone number and your contact options easy to find?
Days 5 and 6: we build and check
The approved design becomes a working site, page by page. We check it on mobile, put the SEO basics in place and make sure that your contact forms work. You can follow the progress on your page, and you can leave us a message there.
Day 7: your site goes online
On day 7 your site goes online, on our hosting, checked on mobile, with the SEO basics in place and your contact forms working. Seven days in total, and you saw the date on your page from the first day.

On launch day, send a test message through every form, tap your phone number and email on your phone and click your main buttons. Then share the link: put it in your Google Business Profile, your social bios and your email signature, and tell your customers.
How one round of changes works
A round of changes is your chance, at each stage, to ask for everything you want changed, all at once. To make it count:
- Collect all the opinions first. If your partner or your team will have a say, gather their notes before you reply.
- Send one list. For each item, say what, where and what you want instead.
- Separate facts from taste. A wrong phone number must be fixed. A color you are not sure about is a preference. Put the facts first.
- Point to the exact place. "The second line of the Services text" is easier to act on than "the services".
- Reply on time. The stages have dates, and a quick answer keeps the week moving.
Why a fixed calendar helps you
A fixed calendar lets you plan. You know when to expect each stage and when to be free to review it. You can tell customers when your site will be ready, and you can line up other things, such as a Google profile update, a printed flyer with your new address or an announcement to your list, to land on the same week. A project with no dates leaves all of that in the air.
How 7 days compares with a typical project
Guides for 2026 put professional small business sites at about four to eight weeks, and custom-designed work at eight to twelve weeks or more. The earlier lesson on timing explains why: most of that time is waiting for content, feedback and approvals. Our week is short because we remove as much of that waiting as we can, with questions you can answer from your phone, texts we write for you and one round of changes at each stage.
What your part is
- Pick a design, or two or three sites you like.
- Answer the questions on day 1, and send what you have: logo, photos and files.
- Read and approve your texts.
- Review the mockup on your phone and on a computer.
- Send your changes as one list at each stage.
- Test your forms and share the link when the site is online.
What is included
Every site includes hosting, a design made for your industry, texts written for you, a mobile version, SEO setup and contact forms. The size of your site depends on the plan you choose: Basic up to 15 pages, Pro from 15 to 30 and Large more than 30.
What you can add after launch
Some services are monthly, and you can add them whenever you want.
- Care maintenance. Someone keeps the site up to date.
- Google Business management. Your Google profile, looked after.
- Email marketing. Emails to your customers.
- A 24/7 chat assistant. Answers on your site at any hour.
- Review requests. A simple way to ask customers for reviews.
- A landing page of the month. A new page each month for an offer or a campaign.
Why 7 days works
The week works because several things are decided in advance. The design is already made for your kind of business, so we do not start from a blank page. The questions are short. We write the texts for you. Each stage has a date and one round of changes, so nothing loops forever. And you see the whole calendar on your own page from the first day.
A fast process still moves with your answers. The smoother your replies and approvals, the smoother the week.
What to do the week after launch
- Share the link. Put it in your Google Business Profile, your social bios, your email signature and your invoices.
- Tell your customers. A short message to your list or your regulars is enough.
- Ask for a review. Happy customers are the best moment to ask, and a Google review helps people find you.
- Look at the results after a few weeks. Which pages do people open, and how many contact you?
- Add content over time. New photos, new reviews and new services keep the site alive.
A checklist for your week
- Before day 1. Choose a design. Find your logo and a handful of photos.
- Day 1. Answer the questions on your phone and send your files.
- Day 2. Read your texts, check the facts and send your list of changes.
- Days 3 and 4. Open the mockup on your phone and on a computer. Send one list and approve.
- Days 5 and 6. Stay reachable, in case we have a question.
- Day 7. Test your forms, check the site on your phone and share the link.
When you are ready to begin, start your site.
Questions people ask
How long does it take to build my website with Good Sites Only?
Seven days from start to online. You answer questions on day 1, your texts are written on days 1 and 2, you see the mockup on days 3 and 4, the site is built and checked on days 5 and 6 and it goes online on day 7. Each stage has one round of changes, and you see the dates on your own page.
What do I need to do on day 1?
Answer a few short questions from your phone, almost all with one tap, and send your logo, photos and files. You can also point us to your current site and your social profiles.
Do I have to write my own texts?
No. We write them for you, from your answers. You read them and approve them, and you have one round of changes.
What if I do not have a logo or photos?
Send what you have, in any format. You can also point us to your current site and your social profiles, and we take it from there.
How many changes can I ask for?
You have one round of changes at each stage. That is why it helps to gather all your notes first, and send them as one clear list, with the facts first and the preferences after.
Will my website work on phones?
Yes. Every site includes a mobile version, and your site is checked on mobile before it goes online.
Is hosting included?
Yes. Your site goes online on our hosting, and hosting is part of every package.
Will my site show up on Google?
Every site includes SEO setup, so the basics are in place. Showing up in search also depends on your competition and on time. It can take from a few days to a few weeks for Google to find a new site, and longer to rank well.
Can I add services after my site is online?
Yes. You can add monthly services such as Care maintenance, Google Business management, email marketing, a 24/7 chat assistant, review requests and a landing page of the month.
Can I follow the progress of my site?
Yes. You have your own page, where you see the date of every stage, and where you can leave us a message. You do not need to chase anyone for news, because the calendar is in front of you from the first day.
